Ares gets a rare visit with the two nestlings in this video clip. We’re almost positive that another chick is calling from inside one of the two remaining eggs. If that’s true then we may have a hatch soon.

Two Chicks are Eating well!!
Astrid and Ares are making sure their little hatchlings are well fed. During the wee hours of the morning they had fed the little ones 3 times. This is the 3rd feeding.

Noontime Feeding of the Two Chicks
Ares finally gets a chance to stay with the two chicks. It doesn’t last long though. Astrid left just long enough to retrieve a chunk of prey that Ares caught earlier. Astrid proceeds to feed the youngsters in this edited clip from this noon.
And Then There Were Two!!
We now have two chicks in the nest!! This is an edited video of the first feeding which took place at 2:40 AM – a nice early breakfast, I’d say. This chick took at least 40 hours to break out of its egg shell, but it appears to be strong and healthy.
