Five Days of Fun with the Falcons!!
Friday in the very wee hours of the morning Ares brought Astrid a food tribute.
Ares has become very focused on bringing Astrid food tributes as this is his way of showing her that he is a good provider for their offspring.
Every year Ares catches several woodcocks. You would think Astrid would like such a large meal but she never seems too impressed. Pigeons are definitely her favorite meal.

No Monday morning blues with these two – they start their day with mating and a food gift. Well maybe Astrid does have the blues – she doesn’t accept poor Ares food gift – even after he plucked it!!
Maybe Astrid prefers a nice dance instead of food gifts.
Tuesday’s rain doesn’t dampen the falcons spirits. They were busy with matings, food gifts and making scrapes.
It’s all about the dance!!
Astrid and Ares shared a very interactive dance this afternoon. They did a lot of beaking and had a lively conversation.

The falcons had a lot of wind to deal with today but they love the wind!! They began their day with mating…
And in typical fashion Ares brought AStrid a food tribute after their mating…
