Astrid and Ares share a dance in the box. Both eat stones during their bonding session and Astrid does a little housekeeping too.

Astrid and Ares share an early morning ledge display “Dance”. Both falcons also ingest some stones – this helps with their digestion. Astrid does a little houskeeping and makes a scrape.

We are not in mating season yet – that typically begins in February – but Astrid and Ares perform ledge displays throughout the year as a way of keeping fidelity to their nest site and each other.
