Well folks, we switched to the backup camera only to discover that there are 2 feathers adhering to it and intermittently obscuring the view. Good Grief!! On the positive side, there doesn’t appear to be any whitewash on it. Still we may switch back to camera one at least until the feathers blow off the backup. Our apologies for these problems. This is our first year of this project and it shows. The important thing is that all is well at the nest!
People should be very understanding about this new situation, things like this happen! You all are doing your best! Now that strong winds might help remove the 2 feathers, luck may have it that there won’t be high winds for awhile, go figure, but time will tell. May come to Utica Thursday or Friday when my husband visits his Dad at Acacia Village and thought I might drive by to see if there’s any activity. Just want to have an idea on what side of the building for a better chance to see Ares or Astrid.
Hi Linda,
The box is on the side facing Grace Church and the State Office Building. They often perch on those 2 buildings as well as on Hotel Utica.
Matt, thank you for this information, I hope I can catch sight of at least one of them. You, Deb, and however many others are so devoted to this project, thank you again for what you do!
