We already have a wealth tax – it’s called property taxes, and it’s massively regressive. We need a tax that accounts for all wealth, not just home ownership.
With all of their wealth and power, the billionaires still ask for public assistance. Worse, they encourage people to jump up and down like children, competing for the rare privilege of giving them more money.
We need to do better for the people of Yemen than to put then on the losing side of a vote of 55 to 44. Be sure to remind your federal legislators (and our president) that this is on them.
